THE FOLLOWING ARE BASIC RULES OF CONDUCT THAT GOVERN PLAYER INTERACTION AND ACTIVITY WITHIN TRANSPARENTSTORY.

FAILURE TO ACT RESPONSIBLY AND TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES MAY RESULT IN ACTION BEING TAKEN AGAINST YOUR ACCOUNT, WHICH MAY INCLUDE TERMINATION OF YOUR ACCOUNT WITHOUT ANY REFUND OF ANY KIND. IN SOME CASES OR VIOLATION, LEGAL ACTION MAY BE TAKEN TO ENSURE WELL BEING AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE GAME.

•Advertising of malicious websites and private servers

Definition:

Any attempt to distribute third-party software (hack tools) and/or any means to increase the publicity of any third-party websites to other players for gains, commercial or otherwise.

Offences under advertising include:

-Any attempt to distribute third party software

-Any attempt to increase publicity of third party website

-Any attempt to distribute third-party software and/or any means to increase the publicity of any third-party websites to other players for gains, commercial or otherwise.

Penalty for Advertising:

1st Offence

Permanent Ban

Offenders will face Permanent Ban of the offending Maplestory account regardless of any previous account reactivations.

*All GM and TransparentStory administrator decisions are final in the game.

**Appeals will not be entertained.

•Hacking

Definition:

Usage of third party software, any forms of editors, trainers or debuggers (Hack tools) in altering the Game which may/may not lead to an unfair advantage in game play over other players. (E.g. Fly hack, god mode, auto-click, auto-loot.)

In Addition:

1. Gaining benefits from hacker is also considered abusing hacks. Players are warned not to party with any hacker, or if they find any hacker within their party, report them and leave the party.

2. Players or characters who intentionally aid a hacker or found receiving any form of assistance, aids or benefits from hackers intentionally will be given the same penalty as hacking.

Offences under hacking include:

-Usage of third party software

-Usage of any form of editors, trainers or debugger (Hack Tools)

-Gaining benefit from hacker

-Assisting hacker

Penalty for hacking:

1st Offence:

Permanent Ban

Player will not be able to retrieve any items from the permanent banned game account.

2nd and subsequence offences if applicable

Permanent Ban

Repeat offenders will face Permanent Ban of the offending Maplestory account regardless of any previous account reactivations.

*All GM and TransparentStory Administrator decisions are final in the game.

**Appeals will not be entertained, Without Valid Proof.

•Misconduct

Definition:

Misconduct is used generally for any unpleasant behavior that is shown to irritate another person with certain intention.

Offences under misconduct include:

Cursing/Swearing

Threatening

Harassment

Sexual Harassment

Text Flooding

Invite flood

Penalty for Misconduct:

1st Offence

14 days in-game ban

Players will not be able to access the offending Maplestory game account in any way during the ban period.

2nd and subsequence offences if applicable

30 days in-game ban

Players will not be able to access the offending Maplestory game account in any way during the ban period.

*All GM and TransparentStory administrator decisions are final in the game.

**Appeals will not be entertained.

•You may not take advantage of any glitch in the game for unjustifiable benefits. If found guilty, TransparentStory reserves all rights to execute any form of penalty on the offending character including Permanent Suspension to protect the general interests of other players. In such cases, no compensation of any form will be made to the player.

•False Report

Offences under False Report include:

Any report claiming to be be hacked by hacker and found nothing suspicious.

Penalty for False Report:

1st Offence

14 days in-game ban

Players will not be able to access the offending Maplestory game account in any way during the ban period.

2nd and subsequence offences if applicable

Permanent Ban

Repeat offenders will face Permanent Ban of the offending Maplestory account regardless of any previous account reactivations.

*All GM and MapleSEA administrator decisions are final.

*Account sharing is not encouraged and owners of the game account will have to be fully responsible for any actions done with the game account.

**Appeals will not be entertained.

Please be careful in any name selection. Read the Terms of Use and respect all our rules regarding character name selection. If you have a character name that goes against our terms of service, please delete the character and start anew. For characters with unacceptable names created , the administrator shall rename the characters. Players unsatisfied with the renaming can opt to delete their character(s). After the mentioned date, we will be forced to permanently ban accounts that do not comply.

For simple reference, avoid:

Impersonation of GM names, NPCs, other chars

Sexual context

Obscene body organs

Vulgarity or otherwise offensive, or may cause confusion

Drug/Narcotic references

Action phrases or complete sentences such as “Youwillnotsurvive”, “defameme”, “killme”.

Names that is or may be illegal or is or may be protected by trademark or other proprietary rights laws

Names reference hacking such as “haaacker”, “goodbotter”

Names that make no sense or created to confuse other users with letter masking such as “0liveOlL”, “lksdjflij”. (i.e. switching “i“s for “L“s and zeros for the letter “o”).

Otherwise inappropriate.

If we believe you have created an account to mislead, confuse or annoy other players with the spelling of the name, the administrator will either ban or rename you. If you are concerned or in doubt about a name choice, we suggest you do not use it.

Penalty for usage of prohibited IGNs include:

If later, Character will be deleted.

•You may not arrange for the exchange or transfer of any pirated or illegal software while in the game, official game websites and forums.

•You will not exploit any bug in the game and you will not communicate the existence of any such exploitable bug (bugs that grant the user unnatural or unintended benefits in game), either directly or through public posting, to any other user of the game. You will promptly report any such bug via the Forum.

•Game Masters will not involve themselves in disputes between players regardless if it is in real life or in-game. Players should solve it themselves peacefully and politely. If the matter gets out of hand, the Game Masters have the right to either suspend both parties or remove the item(s) if it is the cause of the dispute.

•Actions will only be taken by Game Masters or Game Administrators, if there is sufficient proof of foul play.

•If you are caught breaking any of the rules above, disciplinary actions will be taken upon your account . On a serious offence,TransparentStory will only provide limited support or services to that particular account. Transparent also has the right to suspend or terminate the account without prior notice.

•If you are found and caught assisting, involving or receiving benefits from any offenders who break any of the rules above, you will also be punished based on the severity of the offences which is determined from the result of our investigation. Duration of investigation is subjected to the severity of the offence(s) committed.

•You are obliged to allow your account to be temporary suspended for investigation if you are suspected in breaking any rules, breach of security, system payment fraud, possession of hacked, scammed or any items that were obtained illegally.

•You are obliged to agree on any form of penalty decided by TransparentStory in accordance to the offense(s) committed. No appeals will be entertained.

•TransparentStory reserves all rights to execute any form of penalty not subjected to the limitation of our abuse policy penalty on the offending character or game account in accordance to the severity of the offence(s) committed in TransparentStory.

•TransparentStory has the rights to secure any company internal information, staff personal information and game internal information.

•For the offenses mentioned above kindly refer to the User Abuse Policies.

•No Game Master or TransparentStory staff will ever be in favor of one or any player in TransparentStory. Favoritism is not and will never be practiced among TransparentStoryt staff and if player has been caught in violation of any of the policies, terms of use, rules and regulations and rules of conduct will be punished regardless of past interaction or behavior of player.

•TransparentStory has the right to ignore, suspend or terminate users who spam through the forum or email repeatedly with empty mails, repeated messages, vulgar/foul/obscene languages and contents. Threats will not be entertained either and if the situation is out of hand, a police report will be made to protect the company and the staff.

•If we found out that the report you submitted is false, made up, or exaggerated, we will take disciplinary actions upon your TransparentStory account.
